REVIVAL OF ORIGINAL SAKTHA DHARMA OF BHARATHA

One of the main aims of Kamakhya Bhairava Upasaka Foundation is revival of Shakta dharma to its pristine glory following the guidelines of  the shastra-s and purvacharya-s and siddha-s who have walked this path. The primary texts of Shakti upasana are the tantra-s and agama-s. However due to various contrary influences over centuries the puja padhyati-s in various key shaktipitha-s have been transmuted into a less effective pouranika and bhakti based system. While bhakti is always important, it does not replace, nor can it be an alternative to the karmakanda that is given to us by the core tantra shastra. Only then does the true power of the shakti peetha-s awaken and become great divine and protective force for the whole Nation and people.

India is not just a country but the center of Sanatana Dharma, the physical locus of our holy geography. In this land we have many different streams of dharma inspired by great rishis and mahanubhava-s and  as true descendants of such a glorious lineage our role is to carry on walking the path of devata-s upasana in the manner and mechanism which has been handed down to us and then interpreted and executed by great siddha upasaka-s. For example bali is an integral part of shakti puja and it is clearly mentioned in innumerable tantra-s. There can be no ambiguity about it. But unfortunate propaganda over decades have lead to many important temples stopping bali rituals. Such random tampering of padhyati-s leads to weakening of Shakti of the temple and have long term impact on the spirituality in this land. Specially a powerful temple in a kshetra is not just a place of pilgrimage for individuals but something for the whole nation and its people, a way to anchor the presence of the great gods among our midst. We need the kshetra-s more than the deities need them, for our own present and future development of dharma and desha.

As Sri Aurobindo had brilliantly mentioned in his famous Uttarapara speech, as Sanatana Dharma expands so does India. Keeping all these in mind the Kamakhya Bhairava Upasaka Foundation aims to try and spread the correct awareness and knowledge among people about devata upasana and the importance of adherence to the relevant tantra-s shastra-s for Shakti Upasana.

SADHANA WITH SANKALPA FOR DHARMA SAMRAKSHANA

To ensure that there is a greater awakening of dharma and daiva shakti among people, we encourage simple yet effective sadhanas that can be done by anyone on tithi-s that are important for different deities. Our aim and focus is primarily to awaken the protective influence of Bhagwan Bhairava, who is also known as the kshetrapalaka, in order that dharma and future of this Nation becomes secure and protected from the assault of adharmic forces. Every astami tithi collective japas for bhairava are done by those who follow the instructions of the simple nama japa of bhairava. Apart from this navaratri-s, chaturdasi etc tithi-s are also used in order to gain the blessings of different forms of the Divine Mother like Durga and Tara. We encourage ordinary Hindus to participate in these collective sadhanas on specific tithi-s as that can help to awakening a greater spiritual force for India’s future. We live in times where power of the collective is more important than sporadic cases of individual exceptionalism.

PROMOTION OF DHARMIC ACTIVITIES

We also ensure monthly pujas, and abhisekams are conducted in different temples like Kalabhairava, Batuka Bhairava, Mahakala, Tarapith, Kamakhya, Palani, Viswanath and other places with the sankalpa for the protection of Dharma. Also annadanams are conducted across many vedapathshala-s as part of the sadhana process and for obtaining anugraha of the deities. We also donate to Gaushalas for Gau Samrakshana etc.

ADVOCACY TOWARDS DHARMA & KSHETRA SAMRAKSHANA

Kamakhya Bhairava Upasaka Foundation also involves itself where there is a need for protection of kshetra-s and religious heritage. In this regards we have been instrumental in filing a PIL in the courts to ensure that the corridor activities in the ancient Shakti pitha of Kamakhya, does not change or damage the ecological, hydrological and spiritual balance of the Nilaparvata. It is one of  the oldest surviving Shaktipitha-s and any mega change has to be done in cautious manner only after all angles have been explored and taken into account. Kshetra protection is one of the key areas in which we work as we believe that each of these kshetra-s help to preserve the spiritual power of this land.

CONSTRUCTION OF BHAIRAVA TEMPLES

In order for greater protection and long term spiritual benefits to Dharma, we plan to construct at least eight Bhairava temples in different places in India having a specific configuration of deities and yantra-s and puja padhyati-s which will bring out the true and effective force of Bhairava tattwa.

Bhagwan Bhairava willing, these would help to bring a tremendous shift in the spiritual and material life of the Nation. It is unfortunate that the one of the most traumatic events at the inception of our Nation was the partition of the land, which, if seen objectively, is nothing but destruction of the borders of the country. This has also created constant and endless conflicts, covert and overt, from unfriendly neighbouring forces whose aim is to undermine Dharma and the Nation. From the spiritual perspective the first step to restore a defensive kavaca or armour is to invoke Bhairava in the key locations of this land and make His presence permanent in the form of temples. That is why we plan to work towards establishing Bhairava temples in different key areas of India.
