Sevas to Devatas 2025

Sevas to Devatas by KBUF for 2025

During the course of 2025 and specially in the months of Sravana and Poushya and around Bhairava Jayanti and some special tithis we collectively offered different abhushanas and ayudhas befitting our great gods, as we had done last year.

This year as well, we performed japa and pujas on these offerings before presenting them to the deities on specific tithis.

Following is the list of sevas completed for this year:

  1. A silver mukut (crown) was offered to Kashi Vishwanath.
  2. A silver mukhota (mask on the face) was presented to Kalabhairava of Kashi.
  3. A silver trishula and a mukut (crown) were offered to Mahakala in Ujjain.
  4. One silver Trishula and a silver khappar were presented to Panchananda Bhairava in a temple in Bengal. Panchananda is a form of Bhairava popular in certain areas of Bengal; he is red in color with a fierce appearance. Often he is followed by jwarasura (saiva deity of fever), dhanustanka and other spirits. He is said to protect children and villages from all kinds of problems and difficulties.
  5. We also offered Vels and extensive annadanam sevas for Skanda in different temples with which we are associated including Thiruchendur, Palani, Thiruparamkundram, Cheyyur.
  6. Finally, at the end of the year, special offerings to Maa Tara in Tarapith, Special and extensive Annadanam for sadhus in Tarapith, along with Vishesh Poojas and Homas were conducted to invoke Her protection and blessings.

Once these offerings were prepared, we conducted elaborate stutis, pujas and mantra sadhana on them before each one was offered to the deities.
