While Tibetan Buddhism has 21 variants of Tara, who is regarded as the mother of all Buddhas, Hinduism has just three: Ekjata, (She with the single plait) Nila Saraswati (Blue Saraswati) and Ugratara (Fierce Tara).
This deity is often described as Ugra (fierce), Sighra (quick) and Tivra (intense) and probably no other form saves with such lightning quickness as She does, provided of course one has built some connection.
The more I explore the last of the Classical Civilizations, the more I get fascinated by the plethora of choices offered in the quest for a more enriched life experience along with myriad paths to spiritual upliftment.

Is the Panchamundi Asana of Bamdeb Thakur still present in Tarapith? There’s not too much light thrown on this particular topic on the Internet
